Who we are
Cake Kraft is a home bakery in London making custom celebration cakes to order. When you send us an enquiry, we are responsible for what you tell us: what it is used for, who can see it, and how long we keep it. In data protection law that makes us the data controller.

We bake from home, so we do not publish a street address. The email above reaches us, and it is the right place for anything on this page. If you need a postal address for a formal request, ask and we will give you one.
What we collect
Only what we need in order to quote for and bake your cake.

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or third-party trackers on this site. The enquiry form stores nothing on your device.
Allergy information
Allergy and dietary details count as health data, which UK law protects more strictly than ordinary contact details. We collect it only because we cannot safely bake for you without it, we use it for nothing else, and we do not share it with anyone outside the bakery. You are giving it to us explicitly by ticking the boxes on the enquiry form.
We bake in a home kitchen that also handles nuts, milk, eggs, gluten and other allergens. We will always tell you honestly what we can and cannot promise for your cake.
Our lawful basis
- Steps before a contract. Quoting for your cake, and making it if you go ahead.
- Legitimate interests. Keeping a record of past orders so we can pick up where we left off if you come back to us.
- Explicit consent. Allergy and dietary information, and any photograph or quote of yours we ask to use on our website or Instagram. We ask separately for that, every time, and you can say no without it affecting your order.
- Legal obligation. Keeping business records where the law requires it.
Who can see it
Your details are seen by the baker, and by the person who maintains this website on the bakery's behalf. Nobody else. We never sell your information, and we never share it for marketing.
The site runs on Cloudflare, which stores the data on our behalf and processes it under our instructions. If you contact us through WhatsApp or Instagram, that conversation also sits on Meta's systems under their own privacy terms, which we do not control.
Where it is stored, and for how long
- Enquiries are stored in a Cloudflare database within the United Kingdom and European Economic Area.
- Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted after 12 months.
- Completed orders are kept for 6 years, which is how long UK business records must be retained.
- Allergy information is deleted with the enquiry or order it belongs to, and is never kept separately.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- show you a copy of everything we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information, where we are not legally required to keep it
- stop using it in a particular way, or object to us using it at all
- send you a copy in a portable format
- withdraw a consent you gave, at any time
Just email contactcakekraft@gmail.com and ask. We will reply within a month, free of charge. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
We often make cakes for children's birthdays, but we take enquiries only from adults. We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be noted here.
